Meg Whitman, the US ambassador to Kenya, expressed her admiration for ODM leader Raila Odinga. The ambassador expressed her excitement about the leader of the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party’s bid to become chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC). She maintained that Kenya and the East African Community would benefit greatly from securing the continental seat.
The US ambassador expressed her enthusiasm for Raila’s candidacy for the AUC seat, citing advantages for Kenya and East Africa. “I am thrilled about his potential to lead the African Union; it will benefit Kenya and probably all of East Africa.” Whitman remarked, “We recently had a nice conversation, and I have a lot of regard for him.”
