The celebrated Tanzanian singer Rayvanny has at last revealed the sum of money he spent to leave the WCB Wasafi record company, which is owned by Diamond Platnumz.
During an online argument with his former coworker and signee Harmonize, the celebrity revealed it.
He claimed that in order to be allowed to end his contract with Wasafi, he had to pay a staggering Tsh 1.3 billion (KSh68 951 198.34).
The Next Level President noted that whereas Konde Boy was always mentioning the millions he paid WCB Wasafi, Vanny Boy had paid more money but had never discussed the specifics of his deal.
“Umelia, you gave Wasafi Tsh600 million; media zote mzee. For your information, I gave Wasafi Tsh1.3 billion.
The phrase “Ukihisi naongea sifuri fatilia au nenda” What is basata ukaulize na umeona wapi? To me, money is meaningless. Kitu ninachokithamini heshimu ndo. To the hilt, Ukiona siku nimeongea ujue nimekosewa heshima, screamed Vanny Boy to Harmonize.
After six years with the label, he left.
Six years have passed since we first cooperated. Love, unity, my team, my family, WCB Wasafi, and teamwork have all been crucial to our team’s success.
“We have accomplished a lot together, and I have learned a lot. I was the first musician from Tanzania to receive a BET award. I was the first performer to take the stage at prestigious venues like the Dubai Expo and the MTV EMAs “Part of what Rayvanny said.
While acknowledging that he paid at least Tsh500 million (Ksh22.4 million) to get the rights to all the music he produced, Harmonize departed WCB Wasafi back in 2019. He also acknowledges that he has a strained relationship with his former management, WCB Wasafi.
