After a long game of cat and mouse between Ola Petrol Station and an Audi driver who sped away after fuelling at one of their stations, the bill has finally been paid… not by the notorious driver though.
The road safety agency Sikika shared that the 8 thousand bill left by the owner of a KCS 835S had been settled by the young man’s parents. I can only imagine the share they must’ve suffered.
Also, why do you have an Audi if you can’t fuel it? Sell the car and pay for etiquette classes bana.
The incident was first reported at the Kikuyu Police Station where the report indicated that the driver of the sleek white car, registration number KCS 835S, had stopped at Ola petrol station Gitaru along Nairobi-Nakuru Highway for fuel.
However, after receiving services, the driver sped off without paying for the commodity leaving the petrol station attendant who had served him in trouble with his employer.
“The driver of this Audi KCS 835S fueled KSh 8,000 at Ola petrol station Gitaru along Nairobi -Nakuru highway and then drove off at speed without paying. We are pushing now for these drivers to be arrested because this is criminal,” Sikika said bringing the crime to attention.
Now here comes the funny and interesting part. Days later, the man was identified by his friends but he ignored all the numerous calls directed to him requesting him to settle the bill.
Sikika now confirms that the man’s parents stepped in and settled the bill.
Here’s when it becomes humorous and interesting. Days later, the man was recognized by his pals, but he disregarded all of the calls asking him to pay the bill.
Currently, Sikika can attest that the man’s parents intervened and paid the debt.
In the aftermath of similar growing occurrences, Kenyans on social media are still shocked that an Audi driver could go so low and engage in such hide-and-seek games with a gas station.
Furthermore, given that the incident has already been brought as a police case, I’m curious as to why he hasn’t been detained and presented in court.
This is not the first instance of such despicable behavior on our highways.
A Nairobi driver of a pricey Discovery car with the license plate KBV 484R was exposed just last week when he went to a gas station to buy fuel for KSh 10,000 but then sped off without paying.
