On January 30, 2023, at 9 am, media star Shaffie Weru will return to Kenyan television screens with a new program called “Shafted.”

Hard-hitting interviews with notable figures who “shafted” themselves through their deeds, questionable behavior, or controversies will be the focus of the Shafted series.

There are many public figures in society who lost favor either on their own volition or as a result of being set up and misinterpreted. Shafted questions whether they merited their public humiliation or whether they were misinterpreted and cancelled without cause. Every story has three different perspectives.

Shafted is an untainted and unvarnished examination of all sides, giving the people the information they need to make an informed decision.

Shaffie’s management team published advertisements leading up to the premiere of the series that showed his name in the headlines of scandalous articles and his fall from grace in March 2021.

After going on air and victim-shaming a woman who was pushed off a building by a man after she turned down his advances, he and two other people were fired from their radio employment.

I’m ecstatic to be a part of this ground-breaking series and to provide a platform for those who have been wronged by society and their own actions.
