Franklin Mark Gogo, or MC Gogo, a popular TikTok hype man, has been trying to follow Winfrey’s advise ever since he rose to stardom, but it hasn’t been easy because his main obstacle is women.
The 25-year-old Kenyatta University undergraduate student in counseling and sociology has become well-known because of his skill as a voice artist.
His deep voice and talent for combining humor with a dash of realistic hard reality, which he beautifully delivers in between a deejay’s set, have been winning over the public.
Now that every Deejay wants to collaborate with him and clubs are vying to have him as a host, ladies—including his ex—want his attention as well.
“Women in Nairobi are particularly insane. I do get weirdly bothered by women sometimes. I’m not sure if that is referred to as crushing, but sometimes you get into women who are so enamored with you that they don’t even understand. He disclosed.
MC Gogo recounts an incident that happened while he was organizing an event at a Nairobi nightclub and got him written all over the walls.
“I recall that this woman was staring at me blankly, without even moving or blinking, like a zombie. I nearly lost concentration for a few second because it was so uncomfortable. He tells the story.
He claims that another attempted to taint his current relationship.
“This one approached my girlfriend and inquired about her familiarity with me. Although we were not even close, the woman I knew was trying to stir up conflict between us, so I had to break off my acquaintance with her because it was obvious that she was up to no good.
Furthermore, he once received an unexpected call from his ex-girlfriend.
“Several of my videos had gone viral, so I assume she was talking to her friends about knowing me since they wouldn’t believe her. She then texted me to call her just to contradict them. I did, and our friendship has endured.
Despite the excitement among the girls, MC Gogo is quite complimentary of his partner of more than a year.
She is able to manage all the unnecessary strain because she understands what I do and what she agreed to, and we are aware of our strengths.
MC Gogo claims he has established boundaries for himself in order to handle the ladies’ fuss.
“I am a sociable, effervescent man. I will talk to anyone, and we don’t even have to be friends. This might sometimes give women the impression that you are approachable, and as a result, I am aware of my limitations.
MC Gogo also weighed in on his recent viral skit where he mocks how girlfriends cheat on their boyfriends with men they claim to be their friends or brothers.
“Unaona ule jamaa manzi yako hukuambia ni bestie tu, huyu ni bro tu, aki babe ni bro, wakipatana ta, ta, ta.” MC Gogo hypes to the hit song ‘Ta, Ta, Ta’ by Bayani on the skit.
“It happens a lot in this city, people don’t play but I know there are a few who stick to true to themselves.”
