Rapper Casper Nyovest of South Africa has confirmed he will not be at the mass or the wake for  AKA.

Many insisted that the two had a falling out and that is the reason Casper does not want to go to the funeral.

The “Baby Girl” hitmaker claims to be traveling for work and claims not to have any animosity toward the late AKA.

He was responding to a supporter who inquired about his attendance at the memorial.

“Unfortunately I’ll be out of the country for work but if I was around I would’ve gone. I would’ve gone to the funeral too. No matter how you look at it, I and Kiernan shared a lot of great moments together and he contributed to my industry so I have to pay my respects. “Responded Casper

AKA

Casper and AKA had a physical altercation in 2022.

At the time, the two were seen together at the same event this past weekend, when AKA entertained his fans by performing his classic diss song Composure while Cassper Nyovest sat in the audience.

In an effort to physically end the argument, Cassper and AKA met outside. Cassper was humiliated and searching for redemption. Security intervened soon, separating the two.
The assassination of AKA was recently confirmed by South African authorities.

Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, the commander of the KwaZulu-Natal police, claimed that the shooter had come up behind AKA and shot him at close range in the side of the head.

Then, he continued, a second shooter opened fire to dissuade bystanders from reacting to the “hit”.

Tibz Motsoane, a famous chef and AKA’s buddy, was killed by one of these rounds.

On Friday night, a shooting took place in front of a restaurant in the seaside city of Durban.

The father of AKA, whose real name was Kiernan Forbes, has requested people to refrain from making assumptions on social media while authorities seek to piece together the complete story of what happened to him.

Tony Forbes has thanked the many well-wishers whose support is “making it easier to cope,” and says the family is concentrating on giving their son “a decent send-off.”

He has also praised Motsoane, noting that to AKA, he was “like a brother.”

There have not yet been any arrests.

On Saturday, February 18, AKA will be laid to rest in a private provincial ceremony.

On February 17, his memorial service will be conducted at the Sandton Convention Center and include a memorial reading.
