After the announcement of paid internship slots across a variety of sectors, unemployed graduates who are interested in working for the Nairobi County government now have the opportunity to apply.
City Hall posted a job listing on the county’s official website for a variety of positions, from quantity surveyors to civil engineers and architects.
According on the job scale, successful candidates would receive a monthly pay between Ksh20,000 and Ksh25,000. The contract does not include Housing, Risk, or Extraneous Allowances, so the candidates will be responsible for covering their own expenditures.
For example, those wishing to work as civil engineers will be paid Ksh25,000 and must provide documentation of a degree in either mechanical engineering or civil engineering.
Applicants seeking internships as architects must have graduated with a degree in architectural engineering or building technology from a recognized technical institution in order to be eligible for salary between Ksh20,000 and Ksh25,000.
On the other hand, quantity surveyors will be paid Ksh25,000 and must provide documentation of their degree in the field.
The Nairobi County website’s recruiting portal can be found at cpsb.nairobi.go.ke/jobs-page. Interested candidates are recommended to build profiles there.
They must enter information about their educational background, professional credentials, employment history (if any), experience, and membership in professional organizations while on the platform.
Candidates must demonstrate that they meet the standards of Chapter Six of the Constitution, which governs the leadership and integrity of all public servants, as part of the requirements.
Candidates can get all of the information about the numerous openings and internship positions on the employment portal.
The candidates are required to click apply adjacent to the vacant slot.
“Only shortlisted and successful candidates will be contacted and shall be required to produce originals of their National Identity Card, academic and professional certificates and transcripts during interviews,” read the statement in part.
Candidates are required to submit their applications on or before March 3, 2023.
