The Jubilee party of former president Uhuru Kenyatta has declared that it has moved from its Pangani headquarters.
Jubilee Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni did not specify why the former ruling party relocated in a statement on Wednesday.
“The Jubilee party’s main office has moved to a new location in the Kileleshwa neighborhood, off Mandera Road.
In order to develop and support the upcoming generation of Jubilee leaders, our focus will be on strengthening our county, constituency, and ward offices as well as on recruiting additional members. said Kioni.
The party relocated at a time when it has recently begun hemorrhaging.
The majority of its previous leaders have joined the Kenya Kwanza faction led by President William Ruto.
A newspaper ad from August 2022 stated that the Jubilee Pangani headquarters were going up for auction.
The structure is a component of the Farmers Industry Limited-registered LR No. 209/1530 Emani Business Center. Overall, the area is 0.5626 acres large, according to the advertisement.
After 11 minor parties merged on September 8, 2016, the party was established.
In 2016, a year before the 2017 General Election, the Jubilee Party rented the seven-story structure.
The party’s main offices are located in the headquarters, which served as its nerve center throughout the previous two elections.
