Former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i has assured Jubilee Party supporters that the upcoming nomination process will be “free, fair and transparent and straightforward.”

Speaking after a National Executive Council (NEC) meeting chaired by Party Leader and former President Uhuru Kenyatta, Matiang’i emphasised that candidates will be selected on popularity, not personal connections or financial influence.

“The Jubilee Party will have a transparent and open nomination procedure. Tickets will only be distributed to the most well-liked candidates. You won’t be nominated as a candidate because you are my friend or something that doesn’t exist in this party, and we won’t accept money from anyone,” Matiang’i declared.

“And tell anybody who seeks to contest anything, not to be deceived by anybody to give them money, thinking that because they are friends, they will help them,” he continued. In Jubilee, it won’t work.

In order to strengthen the party in advance of the 2027 General Election, the Jubilee Party announced a significant reorganization of its leadership structure, which coincides with the guarantees.

Several significant appointments were made as a result of the NEC conference with the goal of improving grassroots cooperation, operational effectiveness, and compliance.

After being appointed Deputy Party Leader (Operations), Jeremiah Kioni became the focal point of the party’s effort to simplify operations from the local to the national level.

Additionally, Kioni is required to spearhead Jubilee’s engagement and formation of alliances with societal and political groups.

Ole Kenta has been appointed Secretary General, and Zack Kinuthia has been appointed Deputy Secretary General. Vincent Mogaka Kimoki takes over as Chairperson, and Yassin Noor Haji was appointed National Organizing Secretary.

Kembi Gitura will take over as Director of Elections, with Dan Mwangi serving as Executive Director. Saitoti Torome will be in charge of public policy work at the MCA Caucus, while Peter Kados was named its chair. of the MCA Caucus.

According to Jubilee Party officials, the reorganization is intended to establish the party as a legitimate national alternative that can deal with Kenyans’ problems.

The party emphasized the circumstances surrounding the NEC meeting, pointing out that many people are struggling with growing living expenses and financial strains in the face of what it called a government that had “prioritized rhetoric over results.”

“The NEC resolved to strengthen the Jubilee Party’s leadership and organisational structures in preparation for the 2027 General Election,” the party said in a statement, adding that the changes aim to rebuild Jubilee as a disciplined and nationally rooted organisation grounded in structure, policy, and grassroots engagement.

As it prepares for the upcoming election cycle, the actions demonstrate Jubilee’s will to put up a united front and reassure supporters of honesty, openness, and dedication to democratic processes.
