Creator of online content Andrew Kibe has mocked the approach taken by President William Ruto to address issues plaguing Kenyans.

The president should implement measures to ensure that Kenyans do not experience hunger, according to Kibe, rather than calling on Kenyans to participate in prayer in order to beg God to provide rain and end the drought.

The former radio host advised the president to keep to himself and pray to God alone because God picked him to lead Kenyans. After he has finished praying, God will then provide him with a solution and make it apparent to Kenyans, rather than calling on them to pray in front of others.

“President, why are you instilling fear in us, you sound worried in your voice. God gave us you and you are the one who deserves to seek a solution from God before He comes to us with a solution. Praying is never the answer. What will happen to people who don’t believe in the God you tell us about, those who don’t read the Bible?” Kibe said.

For a long time, the divisive blogger stuck to his stance that prayers had never been able to solve Kenyans’ problems and that the president needed to find another approach in order to find a long-term solution to the hunger and drought issues.

Kibe also questioned the government’s request for Kenyans to donate food to earthquake victims in Syria and Turkey through Alfred Mutua.

“The president is playing with us, let’s talk about things to bring a meaningful solution. “The government said it would provide food aid to Turkey after they gave birth, but when Kenya is hungry, you tell us to pray. Really?  This prayer solution does not seem to be good. No country has ever found a solution through prayer,” Kibe said.
