According to a Thursday announcement from WhatsApp, the business is updating its platform’s polls and sharing features.
The ability to make single-vote surveys and distribute media with captions are the two biggest updates.
You may now build single-vote polls, which allow participants to cast one vote only.
Right now, multiple-choice polls are the norm. When creating a poll, you can uncheck the “allow multiple answers” box.
Users of the messaging app may now filter messages by polls in the same way that you do with images, videos, and links.
Tap ‘Search’ to get a results list, and then tap ‘Polls’ to do this.
Additionally, you will now be informed when someone votes in one of your polls. Additionally, you can view the total number of votes cast.
You can now forward media with subtitles when sharing.
According to WhatsApp, you have the option to keep, delete, or completely replace a caption when you forward material with one.
Prior to someone responding, you might not have had enough time to provide context to media that was transmitted, according to WhatsApp.
You may now add a caption to a document before sharing it, which is another recent update.
According to WhatsApp, the new improvements have started to roll out worldwide and will be accessible to all users in the upcoming weeks.
The most recent improvements came a short time after WhatsApp introduced a new feature that lets users access their accounts on up to four handsets.
Prior to this update, users could link their WhatsApp accounts to up to four additional devices, such as their laptops and tablets.
Users’ messages will sync across devices, including other phones, with the latest launch. They can therefore access the app on multiple devices even if one device is off.
