The memorial and funeral plans for late South African rapper AKA have been released.

The deceased South African rapper AKA’s family has provided information on the memorial and funeral schedule.

On Saturday, February 18, he will be laid to rest in a private provincial ceremony, according to a specified schedule.

At the memorial, which will take place on Friday, February 17, at the Sandton Convention Center, part of the readings will be,

“The Forbes family would like to express their gratitude for the outpouring of support they have experienced recently. As seen by loved ones, friends, media tributes, and the MEGACY, Kiernan was not only adored by us as a family, but also by the entire country.

We want to commemorate Kiernan’s life with everyone he impacted and touched via his musical talent. Therefore, his memorial service will be broadcast live online on YouTube.” the family wrote

Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane and Kiernan Forbes, both 35, were fatally shot as they made their way to their car.

In a statement, police claimed that two armed suspects approached the victims from across the street and shot them at close range.

His family has announced the musician’s death, who was 35.

His parents Tony and Lynn Forbes remarked, “It is with great regret that we acknowledge the demise of our darling son.”

“Our boy was loved, and he provided love in return. For us, Kiernan Jarryd Forbes was a father to his cherished daughter Kairo as well as a son, brother, grandchild, nephew, cousin, and friend.”
