While returning from Nyandarua County, where he had attended a Thanksgiving gathering, Gachagua said these things.
He made it clear that the people of Mount Kenya will always back their leaders, no matter what they do.
On Friday in Limuru, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua implored former President Uhuru Kenyatta to extend forgiveness to those who had mistreated him in 2022.
On his way home from a Thanksgiving gathering in Nyandarua County, Gachagua said these things.
He promised that the mistakes of the past would not happen again. He also underlined that the Mount Kenya region will always back its leaders, no matter what they do.
“The other day, I was on the radio and I said we are sorry, I was wrong as well as you people and we seek forgiveness and it will never happen again in Mount Kenya region,” Gachagua.
He underlined that the residents of the Mount Kenya area need to be on the lookout for anyone trying to split up the community.
He also exhorted the populace to continuously back its leaders.
The Deputy President proclaimed, “The people of the Mount Kenya region will never again allow outsiders to divide them.”
He promised that going forward, the area would stay unified and would expose those being exploited by rivals to foment division.
“Going forward, we will speak in one voice, and you should not stub your friend back because he is doing well, support him at all levels,” Gachagua stated.
Senator John Methu, Woman MP Faith Gitau, Host MP Patrick Kwenya (Kinangop), Deputy Governor Mwangi Mathara of Nyandarua, Members of Parliament Jayne Kihara (Naivasha), and Onesmus Ngogoyo (Kajiado North) accompanied him.
Other members of the County Assembly included Hussein Ndung’u, the MCA for Magumu Ward, Njuguna Kiaraho (Ol-Kalou), Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei, George Gachagua (Ndaragwa), and Samuel Parashina (Kajiado South); they were led by Speaker Wachira Waiganjo.
